Who these terms cover
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Aether mobile app and the website at aetherweather.live (together, the “Services”). “Aether Weather,” “we,” and “us” refer to the independent project operating these Services. By using the Services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using them.
What Aether provides
Aether displays weather forecasts, air quality information, animated weather scenes, and optional AI-generated guidance. The website also includes an illustrative app preview and a live weather preview. Some features depend on third-party data or network availability, and features may change while the product develops.
Use forecasts with judgment
Weather, air quality, and AI output can be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. The Services are for general information and everyday planning. Do not rely on them as your only source for emergency, aviation, marine, medical, or other safety-critical decisions. Follow official warnings and qualified advice when those decisions matter.
AI responses are generated from forecast context and may be wrong or unsuitable for your situation. You remain responsible for decisions you make using them.
Use the Services responsibly
You may use the Services for personal, lawful purposes. Do not interfere with their operation, attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls, misuse the AI feature, or use automated requests that disrupt access for others. You must comply with applicable law and the rules of any app store through which you obtain Aether.
Product and content
Aether’s interface, branding, original text, artwork, and software are protected by intellectual property rights held by the project operator or their respective licensors. You receive a limited, revocable permission to use the Services as intended; this does not transfer ownership or grant permission to copy, resell, or redistribute protected parts of the product. Weather data and third-party materials remain subject to their providers’ rights and terms.
Third-party providers
The Services use outside providers for hosting, forecasts, maps or geocoding, fonts, and optional AI features. Links to Google Play or provider websites take you to services with their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of those external services.
Changes and interruptions
We may update, suspend, or discontinue a feature as Aether develops, including where a provider changes its service or a security issue requires action. We aim to keep the Services useful, but cannot promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will remain available.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee that forecasts or AI output will be accurate or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Aether Weather is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms when the Services or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms, where applicable law permits.
